General Measures |
Rest, Local heat, Analgesics.Surgical drainageindiacted.Immediately for the Hip jointIf poor response after adequate medical therapy for 3-4 days.For joints with painful repeated reaccumulation of fluid.If there is infection in a joint with a prostheses. (It is very difficult to eradicate infection without removal of prostheses).Intra auricular antibiotics are not usually indicated, as they may onlu aggravate the arthritis. |
