Disease DYSPHONIA
   
Treatment Acute exacerbation of Bronchial Asthma
1.    Inj. DERIPHYLLIN  2cc IM stat (Theophyllin + Etophyllin =5d-7)
2.    Asthalin inhaler 12 puffs. (5e-1=Salbutamol)
If no response, or if attack is severe,  
3.    Inj. Aminophyllin 10ml + 25% glucose 10ml IV x very slowly (5D-2) OR inj. Adrenalin 0.5 ml subcut x in children and young adults. (5D-1)
4.    Oxygen by Nasal catheter or mask.
If there is no relief in 10 minutes.
1.    Repeat Inj. Aminophyllin slow I.V. or Adrenalin S.C.
2.    Inj. Decardon 2ccd I.V. (Dexamethasone=9A-2 or Betamethasone or Hydrocortisone)
3.    Inj. Gentamycin 80mg I.V. 8 hrly (Respiratory antibiotic=7A)
4.    Tab CALMPOSE 1 stat & S.O.S. (Tranquiliser = 4d-3)
5.    Oxygen by nasal catheter or mask.
If there is no relief still,
1.    Refer to physician.
2.    Start Amonophylin drip -2 amps, or aminophylin in bottle of 5% dextrose x20 drops/min
3.    Inj. Sodabicard 50ml x slow I.V. injection.
4.    Repeat Inj. Decardon as required
After the attack subsides, start oral & inhaled Bronchodilator drugs. (For details, see ”Bronchial Asthma”)
