To get tested for syphills, and HIV.
To abstain from sexual activity until after follow up. |

Culture from mucosal site a week after completing therapy, to ensure cure. |

? Pencilinase producing. ? Fluroquinolone resistant. Both of these are known. |

For initial infection, use of condoms, which offer partial protection.
No sexual intercourse until cure of patient and partnet. |
