| Definition |
Is a chronic multi-system disorder of unknown etiology with derangement of tissue architecture with granulomatous and cellular accumulations. Lung involvement occurs in 90% of patients. |

| Prognosis |
50% remit spontaneously. 40% take a year to remit. 10% progress ot fibrosis of which a few develop bullous lesions in upper lobe, develop aspergiloma, recurrent infections and haemoptysis. About 5% die due to pulmonary insufficiency. |

| Follow Up |
Ophthalmic check for prolonged chloroquin therapy. |

| Inadequate Response |
Immunosuppressives for non-responders to steroids. |
